Automated Student Information Kiosk

The first- ever automated student information kiosk here in Western Visayas College of Science and Technology has been developed and is now serving the students.

The kiosk, which can be found at front of the Cashier’s section and at the registrar’s office of this school, uses a touch-screen monitor and able to display general information about the school and personal records of students.

It has been developed in order to help students’ queries regarding their account balances and record of their grades. It will also display announcements for the benefit of students.

“It will lessen students’ burden especially waiting for the long period of time and paying extra processing fee for their printed grade”, says MIS/EDP head Ned Cababasay during an interview conducted by the Technovator.

He also added that the information kiosk started serving students since November 2010 and more kiosks will be opened soon at the front of the accreditation office.

In order to avail of the free service, students must register at the MIS/EDP office to acquire their login and password.

The automated student information kiosk was another innovation of MIS chief, Mr. Ned Cababasay and Reynard Chu.
